사랑하는 사람보다는 좋은 친구가 더 필요할
때가 있습니다.
만나기 전부터 벌써 가슴이 뛰고 바라보는 것에
만족해야 하는 그런 사람 보다는 곁에 있다는
사실 만으로 편안하게 느껴지는 그런 사람이
더 그리울 때가 있습니다.
길을 걸을때 옷깃스칠 것이 염려되어 일정한
간격을 두고 걸어야하는 그런 사람 보다는
어깨에 손하나 아무렇지 않게 걸치고
걸을 수있는 사람이 더 간절해질 때가 있습니다.
너무 커서,너무 소중하게 느껴져서 자신을
한없이 작고 초라하게 만드는 그런 사람보다는
자신과 비록 어울리지는 않지만 부드러운
미소를 주고 받을 수 있는 사람이 더 절실
해질때가 있습니다.
말할수 없는 사랑 때문에 가슴이 답답 해지고,
하고픈 말이 너무 많아도 상처 받으며 아파
할까봐 차라리 혼자 삼키고 말없이 웃음만을
건네 주어야 하는 그런 사람보다는 허물없이
농담을 주고 받을 수 있는 사람이 더 절실
해질 때가 있습니다.
괴로울때 찻잔을 앞에두고 마주할 수 있는
사람 밤새껏 투정을 해도 다음날 웃으며
편안하게 다시 만날 수있는 사람 이런 사람이
더 의미 있을수 있습니다.
나이가 들수록 비위 맞추며 사는게 버거워
내속내를 맘 편히 덜어놓고 받아 주는
친구하나 있었으면 하는 바램 탓이 겠지.

Subject: Meet is this Saturday!
Hello all!
You are receiving this e-mail because you have clicked "Yes" that you were attending our mixed Korean meet this Saturday (10/16/10) in Los Angeles, California.
We wanted to pass along some updates that everyone should be aware of.
First, please let us know for sure if A) you are still attending and B) your head count (one, plus one, etc.). We want to get a better idea of the number of attendees to be able to best prepare the activities we have in store for the meet. Please update your RSVP status here on Facebook and/or contact Tia or myself as soon as you can.
Second, as mentioned before, the actual meet is free to attend. We are having dinner at the restaurant (same location as the meet) as soon as the meet has concluded. If you plan to stay for dinner, that will be the only cost for attendees (dinner, drinks, etc.). We do plan to continue after dinner with after-party activities. The restaurant should be able to split bills but it might be wise to bring some cash to cover your own dinner (plus tips) costs. We hope that everyone will stay for dinner after the meet.
Third, there will be valet parking provided to us by the restaurant. The actual parking service will be free, but please remember to tip the parking attendant accordingly.
Fourth, there will be media in attendance. The confirmed media so far is Arirang & RadioKorea TV. They are planning on filming some of our meet and possibly interviewing some individuals for a collaborative project that they plan to air soon. Fifth, we are putting together a small discussion panel. To save on time (during the actual meet), we will be sending out another message in the next day or two with who will be on the panel and ask that you submit any questions you might have beforehand or when you arrive.

We are very excited to see both new and old faces on Saturday!
