Hello Everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! First of all, I would like to thank Victor for reaching out to me. It was great connecting with you Victor...I hope to meet in person one day.
My name is Natasha Lafferty. I currently live in Lakeville, Minnesota.
I was born in Taegu, Korea around 1968. I lived in Taegu until 1977. After several failed attempts, Fr. Keane finally convinced the Korean couple, who was taking care of me at the time (who I believe now were my biological Korean Grandparents), to let me go live with him at his St. Vincent's mission.
As far back as I can remember, my name was always Na Natasha. All my playmates in Korea called me by that name and I remember writing that as my name in school. However, my adopted Mom said that I did have a Korean name also, but neither of us can remember.
I know only few things about my birth parents. Unfortunately, I do not know their names. It has been 15 years of uphill battle to find them.
I am so excited about the Motherland Journey planned for next year. My husband and I are planning to participate.
I am also looking to connect with other Amerasians, especially in this area that may have come through Fr. Keane's mission in Inchon.
I feel very fortunate, after 32 years, I have been able to connect with some of you, brothers and sisters. I hope to make more connections and pray that they will form into life time friendships.

Hello everyone,
I want to share photos from trip to Los Angels.
It was amazing time to meet my sister and two brothers and many nephews and nieces. We also visited my dad’s grave site as well as my grandmother and my aunt.
My high light was visiting where my dad was buried and meeting my brothers there. It was very emotional time for me. I was so happy to be there but sad at same time to know that he had passed away. All my feeling that I had for all these years poured out. My family gave me the flags that draped over my dad’s coffin from funeral to keep. I guess the oldest child supposed to keep it. I also have his metals from war.
We went to see house where they lived, church, park and grocery store. It was very small cozy town with mountains around.
My sister Catherine had plan each day for me to see places and meet family members. She really wants me to get to know dad and how he lived.
It was amazing to know that my dad, sister and brothers were looking for me all these years. Even my nephews and nieces knew about me. I am so bless to find and feel their welcoming love.
I got to know my dad much better. I see why I like the things I like and do the things we do. It all makes perfect sense now.

귀한 사진앨범 (평생동안 모아두셨던것들) 을 고맙게도 협회로 기증해 주셔서

한국 방문 프로그램 준비임원회의 로 인해 회장단 조직분야 개편이 있었읍니다.

저희의 2010년 모국방문에 대하여 먼저 간단히 말씀을드림니다.
저희 혼혈인 협회에서는 오는 2010년 5월 23일 부터 6월5일 까지
“Journey to Motherland” “어머니의 땅을찾아” 라는주제로 모국방문은 준비 하고있읍니다
약 100~150명 정도가 참여할수있는 프로그램을 작성중이며 선착순위로 신청서가
11월 1일 부터 실시됩니다.
아직 정식 신청서는 발부되지도 않았는데 벌써 43명의 회원들께서 이번 프로그램의 동참을 하시겠다는 서명을 주셨읍니다.
이곳 켈리포니아 에서는 한국 방문을 위하여 모금활동을 시작 하였읍니다.
작은 노력이지만 우리의 힘으로 오는 10월부터 비영리재단 (Non-profit Organization) 활동을 실행하게 되었읍니다.
그리고 벌써 2번에 거처 Garage Sale 을 하였고 Car Wash 와 Candy Sale 을 준비중입니다. 비영리 재단으로 일어서려는 저희는 여러모의 협찬이 필요한 시기입니다.

한국을 떠나 미국에서의 생활이 바쁘다 보니 하루면 갈수있는 모국이 왜이리 멀게만느껴 졌는지 라고 생각하시는 우리 회원님들과 어려서 입양되어오셨기에
언어가 통하지않아서 한국 방문을 못하신분에게도 이번 단체방문을 통하여 가족도 찾을수있는
프로그램도 있는 좋은기회 입니다.
더 나가서는 현재에도 한국에서 거주하시는 우리 혼혈인들에게 조그마한
도움을 주고자 하는 뜻에 동참을 구하는바입니다.
젊은친구들이 모여 모금활동에 참여하는사진을 첨부합니다. 저희는 이젊은 세대보다 조금은 더 성숙한 사람으로서 이들에게 좋은 본이되는 모습을 보이고 싶군요.

ㅇ 6.25 전쟁 60년 을더불어 그때에 태어나 입양되어온 회원들에게 그가족을 찾아주고자함
We hope to find lost Korean family members of Amerasians who were born after Korean War and adopted to American and European family.

To introduce Korean culture to those who were born in USA or came here at very early age. We would like to promote friendship and bond between two countries.

In commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, we Amerasians would like to give appreciation to two beautiful and distinctive cultures, which we Amerasians received at our birth.
□ 신청방법/Entry Request
ㅇ <붙임>의 이력서를 작성한 후 우편 또는 당사자 직접 접수 / Apply By Mail or in person
ㅇ 신청기한 11/01(일)/2009년~ 마감 03/31 (화)/ 2010년 / Entry within 11/01(Sun)/2009~03/31/2010.
□ 참가비 기간/ Entry Fee Deadline
ㅇ 참가비는 현제 예측 일인당 $1500 불이며 참가를 원하시는 분께서는 지원서 와 함께 디파짓을 10% ($150) 제출 하셔야 하며 잔금은 마지막 마감일 4/10/10 까지 납부하셔야 합니다.
Current estimation for the trip is $1500 per person and it is required to make a deposit of 10% ($150) with application and remaining balance paid in full by 4/10/10

ㅇ 신청단체 중 별도의 지원기준 및 지원범위 등에 따라 참가지원단체 선정

* 계인의 사정으로 동참을 취소하실경우 총참가비의 10%는 환불 불가 / The applicant decides to withdraw from this program, a 10% cancellation fee of the total cost of trip will be applied.
* 행사가 취소되었을경우 참가비는 100% 환불됨 / In the event of the cancelation of this program, all entry fees will be refunded
