LA 에서는 8월6일. 70년대 분위기 복장을 하고 모이기로 했었는데,
아마 70년 스타일 복장이 구하기가 어려워서 인지 몇명 외에는
2008 년도 스타일로 모였다는 소식입니다.
약 30 여명이 함께 만남의 기회가 있어서 즐거웠고 또 젊은 세대 영어권 2세 들도
함께 동석을 했다니 더욱 반가웠 읍니다.
우리 서로가 자주 만날수있는 자체로 기뻐 합시다.
만남의 목적이 무었이냐? 주제가 무었이냐? 누가 어떻다 하는것보다는
가족 이고 형제 자매들이란 마음으로 만난다면. 어떤 허물도 가려 질수가 있지요.

Mr. Barbato: I am sending this e-mail in reference to subject that appeared in the NORTHWEST VETERAN EDITION of AUGUST 2008. Specifically it involves a child fathered by a U.S. citizen between Dec. 31, 1950 and before Oct. 22, 1982 in supposedly "war torn" countries. It also refers to the Amerasian Act passed by Congress as Public Law 97-359. Your article was entitled: WAR CHILDREN LOOK FOR REUNIFICATION. Interestingly enough, this public law did not include children fathered by U.S. citizens of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in either the Philippines or Japan. Why or who came up with these dates or country's of origin involved is really a matter of conjecture and certainly lacking in fairness. Is a child fathered by a U.S. citizen from Yokota AB, Japan or Clark AB, Philippines any more or less deserving for U.S. citizenship than another child born in a country that is more or less not war torn (i.e. U-Tapao AB, Thailand)? I truly believe that Public Law 97-359 needs to be revisited and revised not only including dates of origin and termination but also of the country's involved. Mission Statement
My name is Jimmy Edwards and I, along with the help of my “Search Angel” help find long lost fathers of Amerasian children. (By definition an Amerasian is a person who is of American and Asian descent). It is my goal to try to reunite Amerasian children with their fathers and sometimes mothers even. I am dedicated to helping as many Amerasians as I can, many who desperately want to know their roots. I often receive requests by many Amerasians in countries such as Japan , Vietnam , and The Philippines to locate their American family members. My primary focus is Filipino-Amerasians, however, I will assist any Amerasian however I can.
